My blogging adventure

Unlike Julie [Julia] I am not attempting to work through a cookbook full of stunning recipies and devise an amazing blogging/cooking journey. I will, however, attempt to bake an amazing cake for this weekend eating event. All I need to find to make it an outstanding event, is one fresh pomegranate and my piece de resistance will be born.

  2. Marika, I hope to see some new cake recipes on your blog. You know my love for your cakes goes many years back. I am still looking for a baked cheesecake recipe. So far all of my baked cheesecakes collapsed. I have tried different ideas from different people. In my recipes I used semolina, custard powder, whipped egg whites, left the cake in the oven to rest after turning the temperature off, and after taking it out placed the cake upside down to cool. I even combined some of the above ideas and every time my cake was reduced to about 1/3 - 1/2 of its intended height. Any words of advice?

  3. I am so sad for you Isa but you are a fighter and perseveer so I am sure you will find that magic ingredient one day
    As you know I use half ricotta and half farm, a couple of Tbsps of corn flour and leave it in the warm overn and doesn't seem to drop down that much. It is still an elegant hight for a cheesecake.
